Joint/Spine Pain
At Sanitas Physical Therapy, we bring to you all the treatment modalities and equipment you would find in a traditional stand alone PT clinic. We treat in the comfort of your home and provide a home program with your living arrangements in mind. Conditions like osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease can be managed with physical therapy. Total joints? We provide Day 1 post-operative care in your home and continue you through your outpatient PT program, or have you ready to go into a traditional PT clinic to complete your care.
Fall Prevention and BalanceAs we age, we often find that we aren't as steady on our feet as we once were. We test and measure your fall risk and evaluate your musculoskeletal and balance systems to better understand why you are unsteady. We use a variety of methods to increase your stability including hands on balance training and a home balance program that is safe for you to perform on your own. We have advanced training in proven methods for fall prevention. While in your home we will also provide feedback and recommendations on improving the safety of your home. Angie is certified in the LSVT BIG program for Parkinson’s Disease and sees many patients with peripheral neuropathy for fall prevention.
Vestibular Rehab Therapy (Dizziness) |
Vestibular Rehab Therapy is a specialty within the field of physical therapy used to treat conditions such as post concussive syndrome, BPPV (vertigo), vestibular hypofunction and PPPD. Once a comprehensive clinical examination is performed to identify your dysfunction, Angie will prescribe a regimen of eye, ear and balance exercises to treat those problems. Sometimes a simple physical maneuver is all that is needed to alleviate dizzy symptoms. Identifying which part of the inner ear is symptomatic is crucial for success in performing these maneuvers. Symptoms of a vestibular disorder can include dizziness, brain fog, headache and nausea. Angie has 20 years of experience and post graduate training in diagnosing and successfully treating common and unique vestibular injuries.
